Horses

A wonderful lesson the horses have taught me is that a Cowboy always takes care of his animals first. The Bible teaches us to think of others' needs before our own. This is far different than we are taught today in the "love yourself first" world. This can literally change your whole life, and of those around you, if we can give into this lifestyle. This is how Christ lived.

DOG

Delightfully Obeying God

I adopted Dog as a yearling thru Flying B Horsemanship in 2010. Dog was a wild Mustang out of Elko, NV. He was the first horse I started myself and quickly became my preacher horse. We have shared the gospel while training in multiple states with hundreds of kids and adults.

Dakota

The same year I adopted Dog, I realized I needed another one to ride until Dog was old enough. Linda and Doug Hamm called and offered me Dakota. He was a 2 year old and already started. We hit it off and have worked together ever since.

Stryker

Stryker was adopted in 2008 by Mike Branch in Mobile, AL. He was a stallion on the 3 strike list, so this was his last opportunity. Over the next couple of days, Mike used him to demonstrate how to start a wild Mustang and Stryker then helped Mike gentle a touchy mare. I was greatly blessed to get him thru a mutual friend Mack Clark.

Buddy

Buddy is our ranch mascot. He is a Jerusalem donkey that was donated by Sue Moran in the spring of 2022. He will absolutely follow a kid around just to get loved on. I cannot wait for camp kids.

Santana

Santana is an older walking horse donated by Sue Moran at the same time we got Buddy and Ducky. I am just starting to work with him. My hope is he can help with riding during camp.

Ducky

I believe Ducky is an Arabian pony. He came along with Buddy and Santana and they are still tight. Ducky had been used for Sue's son to ride, but he had a few years without work before I got him. Once I got a saddle on him, it seemed he had never forgotten how to take care of kids. He is going to be great for the smaller teens.

Drifter

Drifter came to us thru Mike Branch. Hamilton was taking lessons with Mike and riding Drifter. She was Mike's clinic horse and was mostly retired. He donated her to work with the kids in the ministry.

Dandy

Dandy was donated by Mike Moody in the fall of 2022. Mike and I have known each other for years and he has been a big help with getting the ministry started. He has done all of my excavating for the arena and cowboy camp. Dandy had been used by Mike's grandkids for years as a trail horse. Dandy is short but stout and loves kids. I am looking forward to him being loved on by the camp kids.
